SparkGPT vs ChatPilot (2026): Lower Commission or Clearer Rules?

Several products share this name, and it is easy to land on the wrong one.

The CK APPS app was named "AI sales bot Upsell" until August 2026, so older links may show that title. The rest of this page covers the CK APPS app only.

What ChatPilot does well

ChatPilot is young, but there is a lot to like, and for many Shopify stores it will be the cheaper choice.

Low commission. At 1.5% on Growth, ChatPilot takes less than a third of our 5% rate. On a $100 order, that is $1.50 against $5.00.

A free plan with real replies. ChatPilot's Free plan includes a monthly reply allowance and appears to run on your live store. SparkGPT's Free plan is for building and testing, and it cannot go live. For a tiny store, that is a real advantage.

Unlimited replies on paid plans. Starter and Growth both list "Unlimited AI Replies," so long conversations do not raise the bill on either product.

Strong early reviews. All 7 App Store reviews give 5 stars, and one praises live support that customized the setup. SparkGPT has no App Store reviews yet. One note for balance: four of the seven reviewers had used the app for under a month, which is natural for an app launched in May, so the reviews speak more to setup and support than to long term sales results.

Live chat and order tracking. The documentation describes a built in inbox where your manual reply pauses the AI for that customer, an email handover setting and a Track Order flow that reads fulfillment status from Shopify.

Quick install. You switch it on through App Embeds in your theme settings, with no code.

ChatPilot pricing in November 2026

Growth adds an advanced AI model, a stated option to train on 5,000 products, dedicated support and a Zoom call for setup. The listing does not publish the token rate on the Free plan or say whether commission applies there. The documentation also describes the Free plan differently, as "Up to 100 conversations per month," so confirm the limit before you rely on it.

SparkGPT has one paid plan.

The math: where the bills cross

This table assumes both tools are credited with exactly the same sales each month.

SparkGPT beats Starter up to about $640 a month and Growth up to about $1,315. ChatPilot's own two plans cross at $3,000. So on these assumptions, a store above $640 pays less on ChatPilot, and at $20,000 the gap is about $650 a month.

SparkGPT's case is the quiet month. Take a store with eight months at zero and four months at $1,000 in attributed sales. SparkGPT costs $235.88 across the year and ChatPilot Starter costs $328 if you keep it on. The saving is modest, about $92, so do not choose SparkGPT for this reason alone unless your sales are small or seasonal.

Very large stores should also look beyond both of us. Flat plans change the math: above about $3,350 a month, a flat $99 plan such as Buddy AI Pro costs less than either ChatPilot plan, if its other terms suit you.

Why a lower rate does not guarantee a lower bill

The table above rests on an assumption that nobody can check today. A commission has two parts: the rate, and the sales it applies to. ChatPilot publishes the first. The second appears only as "Commission on Sales Generated by AI."

We looked for a definition on the listing, in the documentation and in the privacy policy. None explains how a sale is linked to a chat, how long the link lasts, or whether a shopper must click something the AI sent. The documentation says Analytics tracks conversion data, but gives no method or window.

That matters more than the rate. Here is an invented example for a store where SparkGPT's 24 hour rule credits $1,000 in a month, so the SparkGPT bill is $52.99.

The narrow rule is the good outcome for you, and it may be the real one. We do not know, and neither will you until you ask. A wider rule could also credit orders that would have happened anyway, and that risk applies to our 24 hour window too. No attribution window proves lift. SparkGPT's rule fits in one sentence. When a visitor chats with the agent, the session is tagged. If that visitor orders within 24 hours, the order is attributed, listed in the ROI dashboard and charged at 5%. Five questions to ask before you install

Send these to ChatPilot before the trial ends. They are fair questions for any vendor that charges on sales, including us, so email us too if you want the same answers.

1. What exactly makes an order a sale generated by AI, and how long after a chat does that link last?
2. Is commission charged during the free week?
3. Is it charged on the amount paid after discounts, and what happens when an order is refunded?
4. Where can I see the list of orders I was charged for?
5. On the Free plan, what does a token cost, and does commission apply?

Discounts and negotiation

The Starter plan lists "AI Negotiates & Closes Sales," and the listing also names discounts and tiered discounts. The documentation does not describe a negotiation feature or say how you would set limits, so ask how it works before you turn it on.

If the agent does offer discounts, count them as a cost. On an invented $100 order with a $60 product cost, Starter at full price leaves $37.50 and SparkGPT leaves $35. A 10% discount on ChatPilot Starter leaves $27.75. Our Buddy AI comparison covers this in more depth.

Data and privacy

The listing says the app can view customer names, emails, phone numbers and addresses, and order history for the last 60 days. It can also edit products and collections. It says answers use ChatGPT and Anthropic models. The privacy policy we read does not name those model providers, so ask if your store has rules on customer data. SparkGPT runs on Anthropic Claude. Pick ChatPilot if you run Shopify, you expect the agent to drive more than about $640 a month, you want a live inbox and order tracking in one app, or you want a free plan to start with. Get the answers to the five questions first.
