SparkGPT vs Quickchat AI (2026): Credits per Reply or Pay Per Sale?

The short answer: Quickchat AI is a low cost AI agent builder with a Shopify app that can recommend products, answer order questions and act on a shopper's live cart. As of October 2026, its plans run from $9 to $999 per month, and every AI reply uses credits: 1, 2 or 4 per reply depending on the model you choose. SparkGPT is an AI sales agent for any website that costs $2.99 per month plus 5% of attributed sales, using a 24 hour attribution window, with unlimited conversations. If you want the cheapest possible entry plan and many messaging channels, Quickchat is a strong option. If you want a bill that grows only when the agent sells, SparkGPT is the closer fit.

We checked Quickchat's pricing page, its AI credits documentation, its Shopify documentation, its ecommerce and Shopify pages, and its Shopify App Store listing on October 22, 2026. Everything we say about Quickchat below is as of October 2026.

What Quickchat does well

Quickchat deserves a fair look before any comparison.

The entry price is very low. The Starter plan costs $9 per month and Basic costs $29. Few AI agent tools let a small store go live for that little.

It sells, not only supports. Quickchat's Shopify App Store listing says the agent "can act on the shopper's live cart (add items, change quantity, apply a discount) to move them toward checkout." Its ecommerce page adds product recommendations based on needs and budget, live order status in the chat and abandoned cart follow up over WhatsApp or chat.

It reaches many channels. Besides the website widget, Quickchat lists WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Discord and Telegram, and the app listing says the AI handles conversations in more than 100 languages.

Some work is free. According to Quickchat's documentation, visitor messages, human replies from the inbox, knowledge base refreshes, Insights analysis and running an AI Action do not use credits.

Humans can step in. When credits run out, conversations still arrive in the inbox and your team can answer them.

Quickchat pricing in October 2026

Quickchat's pricing page lists these plans:

Plan Monthly Annual AI credits per month User licenses
Free $0 Not offered 50 1
Starter $9 $90 150 1
Basic $29 $290 500 1
Essential $99 $990 3,000 1
Professional $299 $2,990 9,000 3
Business $999 $9,990 30,000 10
Enterprise From $0.50 per resolution Custom Billed per resolution Custom

Annual billing equals two months free. The Free plan is for personal, non commercial use, so a store needs at least Starter. Hiding Quickchat branding is included from Professional upward. Enterprise starts at 2,000 resolutions per month, so its floor is about $1,000 per month. The Shopify App Store listing shows the plans up to Essential at $99 and points to the website for the rest.

How credits are spent

Quickchat's documentation is clear that a credit is spent "per AI reply, not per user question and not per conversation." The model sets the rate:

Model tier Credits per AI reply
Standard (GPT 5.1) and Fast (GPT 5.6 Luna) 1
Advanced (GPT 5.4, GPT 5.6 Terra) 2
Premium (GPT 5.5, GPT 5.6 Sol) 4

Credits do not roll over. When they run out, the agent stops sending new AI replies until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade. Extra credit packs exist only for agents connected to Discord, at 500 credits for $5, so a website store has no self serve top up. The documentation also says credits apply on every channel, "including the AI Preview and Testing runs."

The real difference: what triggers a charge

Both products can talk a shopper through a purchase. They charge for different events.

Quickchat charges for replies. A shopper choosing a gift might get six AI answers before deciding. On the standard model that is 6 credits. On an advanced model it is 12, and on a premium model it is 24. The same six answers cost the same whether the shopper buys or leaves.

SparkGPT charges for sales. When a visitor chats with the agent, the session is tagged. If that visitor places an order within 24 hours, the order is attributed to the agent, shown in the ROI dashboard and charged at 5%. Chats that do not lead to an order cost nothing beyond the $2.99 base, however long they run.

Here is what one six reply conversation costs on Quickchat, using the plan price divided by its credits:

Plan Cost per credit Six replies, standard model Six replies, advanced model
Basic, $29 for 500 $0.058 about $0.35 about $0.70
Essential, $99 for 3,000 $0.033 about $0.20 about $0.40

Those are small numbers, and that is Quickchat's appeal. The catch is the cap. On Basic, 500 credits cover about 83 six reply conversations on the standard model, or about 41 on an advanced one. A busy weekend can use that up, and then the AI goes quiet until the month resets or you move to a bigger plan.

Sales tracking: report or bill?

Quickchat's App Store listing says you can "track what drives sales," and its Shopify page describes Insights on what shoppers ask and where they get stuck. We did not find a published definition of how a sale is credited to the agent, or over what window, on the pricing page, the Shopify documentation or the ecommerce page. That does not mean the reporting is wrong. It means you cannot check it against your orders before you sign up.

SparkGPT's rule is published: an order within 24 hours of a chat counts, and that same number sets the 5% charge. If you want to test any vendor's sales figures, our guide on how to measure chatbot attributed revenue shows how window length changes what gets counted.

Testing before you go live

This is a practical gap for a new store. Because Quickchat spends credits in AI Preview and testing runs, every round of testing draws from the same allowance your shoppers will use. The Free plan's 50 credits are also limited to personal, non commercial use.

SparkGPT's Free plan lets you build one agent and test it as much as you want, with no credit card and no expiry. It cannot go live, but you can ask it your hardest pre purchase questions until the answers are right. Our pre launch testing checklist lists the questions worth asking.

The math: when each one is cheaper

SparkGPT is cheaper than a Quickchat plan when your monthly attributed sales are below (Quickchat bill minus $2.99) divided by 0.05.

Quickchat plan Monthly bill SparkGPT is cheaper below this attributed sales level
Starter $9 $120
Basic $29 $520
Essential $99 $1,920
Professional $299 $5,920
Business $999 $19,920

And here is what SparkGPT costs at different sales levels:

Attributed sales in a month SparkGPT bill
$0 $2.99
$500 $27.99
$1,000 $52.99
$2,000 $102.99
$5,000 $252.99

The honest reading: if your agent drives a steady $2,000 a month and your chat volume fits inside 3,000 credits, Quickchat Essential at $99 costs less than SparkGPT at $102.99, and Basic at $29 is far cheaper if 500 credits are enough. SparkGPT wins when sales from chat are uncertain or seasonal. A month with no attributed sales costs $2.99, or $35.88 over a full year, and you never pay more because shoppers asked extra questions or because you picked a stronger model.

Growth runs on prepaid credits, where 1 credit equals $1. If the balance runs out, the agent pauses rather than charging you more. Both products stop instead of surprising you with a bill. The difference is what drains the balance: replies on Quickchat, sales on SparkGPT.

Which one should you pick?

Pick Quickchat if you want the lowest fixed entry price, you need WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger or Discord in one tool, you want the agent to edit the cart and look up orders on Shopify, and your chat volume is predictable enough to size a credit plan.

Pick SparkGPT if you want an agent focused on pre purchase conversations, your chat volume swings with seasons or campaigns, you do not want to choose between a cheaper model and a bigger bill, or you want sales from chat counted on a short, published window that you can match to your orders. SparkGPT installs on any site with one line of code:

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Quickchat AI cost in 2026?

As of October 2026, Quickchat's pricing page lists Free at $0 with 50 credits, Starter at $9, Basic at $29, Essential at $99, Professional at $299 and Business at $999 per month, with annual billing equal to two months free. Enterprise starts at $0.50 per resolution with a 2,000 resolution monthly minimum. The Free plan is for personal, non commercial use.

What uses a credit in Quickchat?

Each AI reply uses credits, not each conversation or question. A standard model reply costs 1 credit, an advanced model reply 2 and a premium model reply 4. Visitor messages, human replies, knowledge base refreshes, Insights and AI Actions do not use credits, but AI Preview and testing runs do.

What happens when Quickchat credits run out?

The agent stops sending new AI replies until your allowance resets at the next billing cycle or you upgrade. Conversations still arrive in the inbox so a human can answer. Unused credits do not roll over, and extra credit packs are currently offered only for Discord agents.

Does Quickchat work with Shopify?

Yes. Quickchat has a Shopify app that connects to your catalog and cart, recommends products, answers order, shipping and returns questions, and can add items, change quantities and apply discounts in the live cart. It installs as an app embed in the theme editor.

Is SparkGPT cheaper than Quickchat?

It depends on your sales. Against Quickchat Essential at $99, SparkGPT is cheaper while attributed sales stay below about $1,920 a month, and against Basic at $29 the line is about $520. Above those levels Quickchat costs less if your credits are enough. In a month with no attributed sales, SparkGPT costs $2.99.

How does SparkGPT count a sale?

When a visitor chats with the SparkGPT agent, the session is tagged. An order placed within 24 hours of that chat is attributed to the agent, listed order by order in the ROI dashboard and charged at 5%. Orders outside that window, or from visitors who never chatted, are not charged.
